Make my 1st batch of soaps today

I want to make soaps for long time, after I read a lot of books and some soap forums, I finally feel confident to make it. Since I am still a little bit worried about "LYE" part, so my hubby assisted me the whole time. We had a great time.

We tried HP method, I thought it supposed to take about an hour to cook, but end up it took over 2 hours. I think it is a little bit too time consuming. We will try CP method next time, coz we don't need to cook the soap, after we stir the soap, we can pour it to the mold.

We will probably try another batch next Monday. I will take pics of my first batch soap later tonight. I haven't cut them yet, it should be ready to be cut about 11pm.

Bi-fold Wallet

Here is my newest project: Bi-fold Wallet, I made one with Froggies Fabrics and one with Panda Fabrics. Now I am using the Panda one, everyone loves it. But I forgot to take pics of it.

Vintage Sewing Patterns

Yesterday, my hubby and I went to Estate Sale, we bought a box of Vintage Sewing Patterns from 60s and 70s. The patterns are very stylish, I can't wait to make something out of it. Even though I have never tried to sew garments yet, I will post pics of the vintage patterns.

One thing I noticed that back to 60s, people are skinny than nowadays. Size 6 in 60s are much smaller than Size 6 now. Very interesting!

New Wristlets with Zipper

Just add couple new wristlets at my store, they are pleated with zipper, very cute.

One is Vintage Style with "Vintage Looking Button", look great with causal and formal clothing.

Another one is Gold Fish fabrics, my mom got the gold fish placement in Hong Kong, but I don't need any placement, so I used it to make the wristlet, the placement is BRAND NEW. Never been used. This is OOAK.

Holly Days at Sanderson High

My boss and I shared a booth at Holly Days (High School Fundraising Show) at 12/1 and 12/2. We sold the craft we made.

I am very disappointed with the show, we did't sell much. Two whole days, I only had $71 sales. My boss is a little bit more than me. I didn't sell any purses, ppl are very tight on money, they don't want to buy "High price" items, only cheap stuff. I sold a lot of pocket mirrors and buttons. A lot of ppl like my purses, just no one buys it.

Will I do it next year again? Only if someone will share the booth with me, otherwise, I will lose $$ to sell at the show.

My boss's husband took pics of us. I hate the pics, I look so fat and "OLD". I guess I really need to lose some weight. Now I am 99 lbs. I gain about 6 lbs in this year. I really need to be on diet, no more snacks. BTW, you can see my new hair cut. It looks better in person.
