My 1st Needle Felting Project: Flower

I took a needle felting class yesterday, I made this flower in the class, it supposes to be a pin, but I made it "Slight" bigger. LOL. So I don't know what to do with it. hehehe...

During the class, I didn't think "needle felting" is my thing. But later, when I got home, I saw all the needle felting projects all over the internet, I got a lot of inspiration, I started to want to do more.

Here is the pics of my flower, I used Hot Pink for the base color, then blended with 2 other different shades of pink, and the leave I used "darker green" and blend with a "light green". I really like the result.

I really love the shopping bags I made, I used Target Plastic bag as a pattern, so the fabric shopping bags are very big. I made 3 totally, that what I need for grecory shopping. It holds up a lot. I can put a pack of root beers (6 bottles), a carton of milk in one bag and some more can food all in one bag. They are sturdy and strong.

And they are so stylish and pretty, I use it as a purse.

Size is 13" (width) x 17" (Height without handle), with handle is 28". This bag is expandable, after expand, the depth is 7".

The most amazing part is that there is a front pocket, you can fold the bag in this pocket. It is very compact, you can put it your purse or your car, so you will never forget to bring when you go shopping.

My Japanese Craft Books are arrived today!!!

Ugly Cutie!

This is my 2nd amigurumi. It is small bunny, I called her Ugly Cutie. Obviously, she is not pretty, kind of ugly in some way, however, I think she is very cute!! That's why I give her this name.


She and my chihuahua "Cha Siu" are best friends, they love watching outside thu windows together. LOL

Fabric Scrapes

I did my curtain last weekend, and I have some fabrics scrapes. So I made some coasters from it. I think they look pretty nice. I feel great to get some use of it instead of throw it away.

Clove Crochet Hooks Clearance at AC Moore!!

I just got back from AC Moore, they have a lot of Clove Crochet Hooks on clearance. Mostly the bamboo style, but they do have few of soft grip styles on clearance. I bought 2 bamboo hooks (F and J), they are only $2.96, reg are $5.99.

Also, they have some Lion Brand Hooks on clearance, I bought a P and M for $1.99 each. I don't know what kind of projects to do with those big hooks. I just can't pass the good deal. It is half off!

I can't wait to try Bamboo Hooks, I always wanted to try it, a lot of ppl rave about them. I will write my review after I crochet with it.

New Crochet Projects: baby bib and hat

I crocheted this for my friend's newborn baby girl. I never crochet baby items. it is fun to do it. Coz it is small and easy. And they are so cute!

The bib and hat are made of 100% cotton yarn, I used Bernat Cotton Tots. I like it a lot, it is softer than Sugar N Cream, and the price is ressonable. I like cotton, coz babies have sensitive skin, I think cotton are better for them.

Super Cute Crochet Purse!

It is another purse I made, but this time is crochet, not sewing. I enjoy crochet a lot, coz I can crochet and watch TV the same time. And it is more portable, I just need to bring my hook and yarn, of course, the pattern too.

Right now, my favourite crochet books are "Happy Hooker" and "Teach yourself visually crocheting", both are great books for beginners and even experience crochet lovers, they have great patterns and all the basic info.

Also, I ordered some Japanese Crochet Books from Japan, I can't wait to get them. Their styles are so different than american crochet, very trendy and modern!

I made this purse last week. I really like it, I used Japanese Fabrics and some home decoration fabrics. Because I am new to sewing, so it took me about 4 to 5 hours. It supposed to take 2 hours. hahahaha....
