Metal Frame Coin Purse 口金包
Making Metal Frame Coin Purse is very popular in Asian Countries, esp in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Japan. I always want to try, but the metal frames are sooooooo expensive. Last time I went to Hong Kong to visit my family, I tried to buy it, but no luck. But I found a website called TaoBao from China, there are a lot of sellers selling the metal frames, and the price is very cheap, so I asked my brother to order for me, they don't take paypal or credit cards from oversea (except Hong Kong and Taiwan). After the exchange rate, shipping and credit card fees, the price for each metal frame is still much cheaper than here, but I have to wait.
I also bought a book that teach you how to make metal frame purses and bags. A little bit disappointed about the book, it doesn't show too detail how to sew the metal frame to the purse, I still have to do a lot of research online, thanks goodness that I can read Chinese. But the book gives me some idea to design my own purse, and there are of patterns for purses, that is nice.
For the first purse, I think it is not too bad, definitely, there are a lot of room for improvement. I am not really good at hand sewing.
I am going to offer DIY kit which include instruction, pattern, fabrics, interface and metal frame in my Etsy store soon, so if any of you are interested in making your own, you can try it. And my price will be really reasonable, since I got a really good deal, but I only order 30 frames, so there will be only 20 kits for sale (maximum), I need to save some for myself.

Pics of my new shopping bags
Made 2 bags couple days ago. One with long handle and one with short handle, I used Target Shopping bag as the pattern. So they are pretty big, can hold up a lot of grecory. Love the fabrics, they both are great for Spring and Summer.
I personally love the long handle one, coz the fabric remind me 70s, very retro. Both bags are be folded, after that, you tight it with the ribbons (sew in ribbons). very compact. you can put it in your purse or your car, so you will never forget to bring your own bag to shop.
Here is my favorite:

New Soaps made of Red Palm Oil and Green Tea
I did 2 batches soaps this week.
One is made of Organic Extra Virgin Red Palm Oil instead of regular Palm Oil, love the color of the soap, very colorful and sharp. And I topped it with Rose Buds and Petals, scented with "Love Spell" FO, it smells great and look beautiful. Very proud of myself.
Another one is made of Jasmine Green Tea instead of water, I topped it with Green Tea Leaf and scented with Green Tea Soulffe FO. The color of the soaps are kind of brownish. Next time I will try to color it with Green Clay.
Here are the pics:

New Wristlets with Zipper

Just add couple new wristlets at my store, they are pleated with zipper, very cute.
One is Vintage Style with "Vintage Looking Button", look great with causal and formal clothing.
Another one is Gold Fish fabrics, my mom got the gold fish placement in Hong Kong, but I don't need any placement, so I used it to make the wristlet, the placement is BRAND NEW. Never been used. This is OOAK.

Holly Days at Sanderson High

My boss and I shared a booth at Holly Days (High School Fundraising Show) at 12/1 and 12/2. We sold the craft we made.
I am very disappointed with the show, we did't sell much. Two whole days, I only had $71 sales. My boss is a little bit more than me. I didn't sell any purses, ppl are very tight on money, they don't want to buy "High price" items, only cheap stuff. I sold a lot of pocket mirrors and buttons. A lot of ppl like my purses, just no one buys it.
Will I do it next year again? Only if someone will share the booth with me, otherwise, I will lose $$ to sell at the show.
My boss's husband took pics of us. I hate the pics, I look so fat and "OLD". I guess I really need to lose some weight. Now I am 99 lbs. I gain about 6 lbs in this year. I really need to be on diet, no more snacks. BTW, you can see my new hair cut. It looks better in person.
